How Often Should I Get a Dental Check up? A dental appointment varies between person to person so how long should you wait until you get a check up? A usual rule for adult patients is to visit a dental practice once or twice a year, even if your mouth is in perfect condition. By this way you can get your teeth professionally cleaned on a regular basis, and maintain that perfect orally clean healthy teeth you have.

  • Brushing twice a day for two minutes each time
  • Using floss clean between your teeth everyday, use interdental brushes, water flosses and floss picks, making sure to not skip any teeth

  • Any dentist treatment plan and dental hygienist’s oral hygiene recommendations must be followed

Healthy teeth and gums can make you look and feel better, help you eat and talk comfortably, and can save you money in healthcare expenses.

After their first visit,  children should visit the dentist at least every six months, for a kid’s dental cleaning, These visits then will extend fairly well into adulthood, preparing them for the rest of the individual’s life.
