How 8 Cartoons with Braces Help in Building Confidence

In this fun blog we’ll be looking at some eccentric cartoons with braces. From the list of characters, all poses traits that make them lovable, enjoyable, and relatable…

Cartoons with Braces

Sharon Spitz (Brace Face)

It’s not surprise that Sharon Spitz is on this list. One, the show is literally called “Brace Face”. But also, on this rare occasion a character going through orthodontic treatment has a whole show based around them (rather than them being a side character).

Sharon shows that having braces may seem like the end of the world for some, but ultimately it’s adolescence which presents her with the majority of her problems.

I mean… it’s her braces which lands gives her a chance to model, talk about brace-ing for the limelight.

Lisa Simpson (The Simpsons)

This episode proves to more for comedic purposes as the tools used are far from realistic. Lisa fears being socially unpopular, in her words, even more so. But don’t worry Lisa, as the rest of the cartoons with braces on this list will prove that braces are indeed a fashion statement.

By the end of the episode Marge remarks that Lisa’s new braces (due to a family dental plan) can’t even be seen. “And that’s the tooth” with Smiles Centre; find out how you can get similar braces here: https://smilescentre.co.uk/teeth-straightening/.

Missy Foreman-Greenwald (Big Mouth)

As big mouth continues to rise, this Netflix show has continued to expose the realities of being a young person – minus the “puberty fairy” of course.

Here we have Missy: a smart, interesting, relatable teen for a lot of us. Her braces are never cause for part of the story, but none of the less, I’m glad that shows are presenting young people with a more realistic look into life around them.

Chuckie Finster Jr. (Rugrats: All Grown Up!)

Most may recognise little Chuckie on Rugrats… but here he’s ‘All Grown Up’. Always a nostalgic moment with any toddler/baby from Rugrats, but now a 12 year old, Chuckie has gained gained rectangle glasses and braces.

Luan Loud (The Loud House)

Arguably one of the most lovable sisters in the Loud family, is Luan. She proves that true beauty is beyond the conventional standard. Her comedic persona and lovable charm (don’t forget those unhilarious-hilarious puns of hers) puts her at the forth font of some of the other prime characters on the show.

Ruth McDougal (Hey Arnold!)

Unattractiveness is a common fear a lot of people have when the possibility of braces surfaces. Ruth, with her metallic smile, proves that you can’t put a cage on romance.

Tootie Carter (Fairly Odd Parents)

I’m sure it’s not the braces that stands in her way, rather it’s her obsessive crush on Timmy. This flashback-worthy character has a lot of us relating (hopefully not to the extend of stalking mind).

As shown in the movie, Tootie grows up to be quite the looker (as portrayed by Daniella Monet). Her orthodontics proved to be successful with her beautiful smiles – definitely worth the treatment I’d say.

Mabel Pines (Gravity Falls)

Mabel is an excitable 12 year old, going on crazy adventures with her twin brother Dipper. A lot of people have different opinions on her as a characters, but you’d be lying if you’d say she doesn’t look adorable in her chunky sweaters and matching accessories – never forgetting the braces that adds to her cuteness.

It’s great that such a critically-acclaimed series showcases a main character braces.

  • Tootie basking in the results of her braces (now filled with confidence).
